Your car should be in good operating condition. It should start, run, drive and stop normally. Vehicles that don't start, run, drive or stop normally are difficult to load on and off the transporter and will cost more. Your vehicle should be free of contents such as household goods, personal items, etc.

Our transporters are required to adhere to federal and state laws regarding gross vehicle weights and it's easy to see how a couple hundred pounds of personal items per vehicle can quickly become a couple thousand pounds when the transport is loaded to capacity.

We (Carl's Car Carriers Inc) will schedule door-to-door services, but please keep in mind frequently our transporter is unable to negotiate a 75-foot truck through a residential or restricted neighborhood. Our transporters are full-sized carriers which means legal height clearance in excess of 13' 6" and length at times in excess of 80'. There are also local weight restrictions on streets and highways which many times place lower weight allowances for the sole purpose of excluding larger trucks from residential/restricted neighborhoods. In these cases, our driver may ask you to meet him at a nearby shopping center or lot of sufficient size to accommodate the unload procedure. This may also apply to your destination as well.
